Long but engaging and comprehensive. This 4th edition covers the impact that the new world of social media has had on traditional CRM. It’s a brand new world and this does a good job of highlighting the reasons those of us in marketing or technology need to care.

It’s hard to give five stars to a book on Hell.
This is clearly not the kind of inspiring and challenging book that has made Francis Chan so well known, but it is an important book because of all those who want to explain away Hell. In his characteristic way, Chan goes open-handed to Scripture and asks what God reveals about it there.
It is a short book, mercifully. The main book is only about 140 short pages. In the first four chapters Chan unpacks what Scripture says about Hell. This portion is clear, if difficult to read. Then in chapter 5-7 he turns to how Christians should respond to this teaching. Here we see Chan’s gift for challenging our thinking with the truths of Scripture. It is worth the payoff.
Perhaps the best summary can be found in this quote from page 148:
“While hell can be a paralyzing doctrine, it can also be an energizing one, for it magnifies the beauty of the cross.
Hell is the backdrop that reveals the profound and unbelievable grace of the cross. It brings to light the enormity of our sin and therefore portrays the undeserved favor of God in full color.”

Whether or not recent conversations have left you confused about Hell, gird up and read this book.

In a simple and yet powerful way, Paul Miller shares the fruit of hard-won maturity in prayer. This isn’t yet another book on prayer methods, though he shares his, but more about helping us think rightly about prayer. Solid Biblically and easy to read.

This is a powerful book that pulls us out of our American context and confronts us with the question of what the gospel really demands of us. It is guaranteed to challenge you and probably scare you a little (in a good way). Definitely worth reading!

This has been an important part of a work that God has done in my heart, enflaming a longing for heaven and for God in whole new ways. If Christians lived with this perspective it would transform our daily lives. I feel as if the engine of my Christian life just got supercharged. I don’t know that Randy is right in all of his perceptions, but I do know that it won’t be less than this! This is what Christ saved us for, so make sure you know what the Bible has to say about heaven.

Based on a series of messages that Carson has been giving to secular audiences to introduce them to the basic ideas of Christianity. Good foundation with some really thoughtful ideas. Highly recommended.

Thought-provoking discussion of how the digital revolution has impacted our thinking, our culture, and our spiritual lives. Tim Challies has put together a very helpful discussion, being both even-handed and Biblical. These are not the rantings of a technology-hating rambler. Tim is thoughtful in both the areas of theology and technology. As a technology leader at a Christian ministry, this book gives me much more to think about.

If you are a gadget-loving Christian, you should read this book.
